I have been a professional  photographer for over 12 years, and after studying photography began my career working for Dimbleby news group.

As an enthusiastic young photographer I quickly moved forward becoming staff photographer for World Entertainment News Network and London based celebrity news agency, having my work published in a wide range of newspapers and magazines both in the UK and around the world, such as OK, Evening Standard, The Sun, The Mirror, Daily Record, The star, the NME and Maxim.

While photographing the likes of Jagger and Kate Moss and spending all summer traveling to festivals had its obvious appeal, I longed to do something that I had more creative control over, and I found my inspiration for Toni Ward Family Photography when my best friend became pregnant with her first baby.

I photographed her through the various stages of her pregnancy and then when Lucia was born. Looking through the series of photographs I had taken and seeing how treasured her bump photograph was [it hangs on the wall of Lucia’s nursery] it really struck me how special and truly amazing that time is, and what inspiring subjects children are as they constantly grow and change, developing their unique personality as they go, and how quickly they go from bump to newborn then toddler and beyond from this inspiration Toni Ward Family Photography was born.
